I feel incredibly lucky that my birthday just happened to be the same day that the Lion King was released on Blu-ray and the same day that this amazing Simba plushie was released this year. Yeah, I'm pretty special like that. XD
Anyhow, this plushie is truly awesome. This Simba is a limited edition plushie that was produced by The Disney Store; he is one of the 3,500 that were made. He's about 12 inches tall, and very, very well-constructed. His fur is very plush, unlike most Disney Store plushies that have been released recently. His mouth and tongue are embroidered, and the outer circle around his eyes are embroidered as well. I think his eyes are made of a very hard plastic material. I don't typically like plastic eyes, but I like his.
His leaf collar seems to be made of a material similar to leather, again showing that he was very well-made. There is a button on his collar that reads "Disney Store." I definitely prefer the button to the patch that most Disney Store plushies are adorned with these days. His legs and neck are jointed, and his tail is articulated.
This plushie is still available on the Disney Store website, so get him while you can. He is a bit pricey--$59.50--but I think he's worth it if you're a collector.
This Simba is not for sale, and never will be.
